Over 82 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the railway tracks

Since the beginning of the winter period, over 26 thousand kilometers of railway track have been cleaned on the KTZ network using special equipment. All types of special vehicles carried out 377 trips. More than 82 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed.

The main events were held in Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Aktobe, and Abay regions.

This winter, railway workers of the Zhambyl branch of the main network faced difficult weather conditions when an abnormal snowfall hit the region. To clear the railway track from snow drifts, special equipment traveled 31 times. Track fitters were hired to remove snow in places difficult to reach for equipment. In total, 394 kilometers of railway tracks were cleaned in the region.

Railway workers continue to make maximum efforts to ensure the safety of train traffic today. Snow is being cleared from switches, station tracks, stages, and passenger platforms.
