Over 81 million tons of cargo were transported by rail in 4 months of this year

Cargo transportation on the KTZ network amounted to 81.5 million tons in January-April 2024 . 27 million tons were exported. Domestic transportation increased by 3.7% to 54.4 million tons.

Over 4 months, 33.6 million tons of coal were transported. 25.5 million tons go to Kazakhstani consumers. 8.1 million tons of solid fuel were exported. Over 3 million tons of grain were transported by rail, 2.3 million tons were exported.

In January-April 2024, transportation of oil cargo increased by 1.6% compared to 2023, to 6.2 million tons, ferrous metals by 6.4%, to 1.4 million tons, iron ore and manganese by 11%, up to 6.8 million tons, non-ferrous ore and sulfur raw materials by 15.7%, up to 7.8 million tons,

Exports of oil cargo increased by 15%, to 1.9 million tons, ferrous metals by 4%, to 1 million tons, chemical fertilizers by 59%, to 460 thousand tons, iron ore and manganese by 10.9%, to 3 .7 million tons, construction cargo by 22.8%, to 119 thousand tons.
