Over 7.8 million tons of grain transported by rail since the beginning of the year

Over 10 months of this year, grain loading on the KTZ network amounted to 7.8 million tons. Grain transportation in the republic increased by 7%, to 1.8 million tons. 6 million tons were exported by rail. Grain exports increased by 9% to Tajikistan, by 35% to Iran, and 2.5 times to Kyrgyzstan.

By the end of the year, KTZ is ready to transport over 1 million tons of grain per month. It has all the resources for this. Thus, KTZ predicts to transport 1.2 million tons of grain in November, and 1.3 million tons in December. Over 890 thousand tons of grain will be exported in November, and over 970 thousand tons in December.

The forecast for the total volume for 2024 is about 10.2 million tons of grain, including 7.8 million tons for export. Exports to Central Asian countries will amount to 4.7 million tons, to China - 1.6 million tons. KTZ plans to increase grain transportation within the country by the end of 2024 by 8%, to 2.4 million tons.
