Over 7 thousand people were transported by passenger trains from flood zones

Passenger Transportation JSC actively provides transportation for citizens affected by floods. In some regions of the country, the railway remains the only transport for removing people. 

In total, about 250 people were transported by passenger trains from the flood zones in the Karaganda region, and more than 6.8 thousand people in the Atyrau region.

To remove the population from the city of Balkhash, a one-time train and additional carriages for train No. 606/605 were organized on the Balkhash-Karaganda route.

In the Atyrau region, one-time trains have been organized on the routes “Atyrau-Kulsary-Makat” and “Atyrau-Kulsary-Mangistau”. 20 flights were carried out.

The National Carrier also provides operational assistance in transporting military personnel and rescuers participating in flood control measures.
