28-03-2024
The railway works around the clock and uninterruptedly. The movement of passenger and freight trains does not stop for a second. Work is in full swing night and day, on holidays and weekdays, without days off or breaks.
Over 18 thousand railway workers will go to work on the holiday night. Among them are more than 11 thousand employees of KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP, about 2.5 thousand - of the Directorate of the Trunk Network, more than 2.2 thousand - of Passenger Transportation JSC. More than 1.5 thousand VZhDO employees will ensure safety, cargo safety and order on the railway.
Locomotive crews will set out to deliver passengers and cargo to their destination. Together with the drivers, carriage inspectors, train preparers, signalmen, track workers and representatives of other railway professions ensure the operation of the complex mechanism.
They control the entire transportation process in the country from three regional transportation control centers and an automated transportation control center (ATCC).
ACUP traffic dispatcher Sholpan Temirbekova has been working on New Year's Eve for several years now. He has been working on the railway for 25 years. She came in the footsteps of her father, who worked as a track foreman. She began her journey from the small station of Kazanbasy in the Kostanay region. Now it regulates the transportation process in the southern region of the country. On New Year's Eve, 12 dispatchers will take over shifts at the ACUP.
“I don’t see much difference between the New Year’s shift and work on regular days. The trains are still running, people are still working. But just a little more responsible and attentive. At midnight you congratulate your colleagues: “Happy New Year!”, and then it’s back to work,” she notes.
Hundreds of machine operators, track workers, bridge workers, and power engineers continue to build second tracks on the Dostyk-Moyynty section. Before the New Year, they managed to lay over 300 km of railway track.
To ensure the comfort and safety of passengers on New Year's Eve, conductors and train captains will work.
Traditionally, on the last day of the outgoing year, railway workers will congratulate passengers on the upcoming New Year at stations and on trains. To create a festive mood, the carriages were decorated in a New Year's theme. And Father Frost and Snow Maiden will treat little passengers with sweets.
On New Year's Eve, railway workers work extra hard to ensure the safe and uninterrupted movement of trains.
