Over 1400 km of railway repaired in 2024

In 2024, NC KTZ JSC fulfilled the plan for track repairs - 1407 km of the railway track were renewed by all types of repairs, 570 km of which were major. Almost the same volume of repair work was carried out in 2023 - 1443 km. 

As part of the implementation of the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the modernization of the railway infrastructure, NC KTZ JSC is implementing a Roadmap for the repair of 11 thousand kilometers of railways by 2029. 

To date, more than 2800 kilometers of railway have been modernized out of the planned volume.

Annual track repairs ensure the reliability of the railway infrastructure and increase the speed of transportation of passengers and goods. Modernization of the railway infrastructure will meet the growing demand for transportation and will contribute to the increase of the country's transit potential.
