Over 12 thousand people and 1000 units of equipment were transported by KTZ trains during the flood period

About 12 thousand flood victims, military personnel, volunteers and rescuers were transported by KTZ trains:

- 8.9 thousand passengers were transported from flood zones by passenger cars.

- 540 children - to health centers and children's camps.

- more than 2.6 thousand personnel of the Ministry of Defense, the Medical Emergency Service, and the National Guard to carry out rescue operations. 
 

- 1000 units of heavy equipment, 1500 tons of rubble stone, 5600 tons of crushed stone to eliminate an emergency.

- 45 anti-washout and 47 fire-fighting trains were formed. 

- More than 9.9 thousand cubic meters were pumped out of melt water by special KTZ trains.

- Over 23 thousand railway workers have been mobilized to fight the disaster.

- 930 volunteer railway workers were involved. 2.6 tons of humanitarian aid were collected. 
 

- NC KTZ JSC allocated 2 billion tenge to provide assistance to regions affected by floods.

Priority is given to the transportation of humanitarian cargo and the evacuation of people from flood zones.

During the past flood period, there were no erosions of the main railway infrastructure. The railway is operating in enhanced mode. The flood situation remains under special control.
