One million tons of cargo exported to China by rail in January 2024

The volume of cargo transportation by rail between Kazakhstan and China increased in January 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 by 22% and amounted to 2.4 million tons. Cargo exports to China exceeded last year's figure by 43% and amounted to 1 million tons. At the same time, the export of iron ore increased by 19%, grain - by 37%, ferrous metals - by 2 times, non-ferrous metals - by 2.2 times. Also, transportation of goods for export in containers increased by 2.2 times.
