Since the start of the track repair campaign this year, over 820 km of railway track have been renewed on the KTZ network, which is 73% of the annual volume. More than 430 turnouts have been replaced.

To carry out repair work on the railway, KTZ's track facilities operate more than 730 units of special rolling stock.

The RM-80 and RM-2002 crushed stone cleaning machines cleaned contaminated ballast along 243 km. High-performance machines “Duomatic 09-32” carried out straightening work on 1875 km of track. Using Unimat MF and VPRS equipment, straightening and tamping work was carried out on 1,105 turnouts and about 315 km of track. Straightening machines of the Balashenko system carried out straightening of 500 km of railway tracks. To improve the smoothness of the ride, 1,840 km of track were polished by special Atlas trains.

 

The use of high-performance track machines reduces the time of track repair work, increases the technical level and ensures track reliability.
