More than 166 thousand people attended lectures on the rules of conduct on the railway

In 2024, drivers applied 4,758 emergency brakes to prevent collisions on the railway. In 3,406 cases, collisions were prevented due to the competent actions of locomotive crews. The number of injured people on the railway also decreased due to preventive measures. To prevent such incidents, 298 meetings of the coordination council were organized in 2024, which were attended by representatives of the prosecutor's office, police, transport control authorities and the media. As part of work with the population, more than 12 thousand meetings were held, covering more than 166 thousand people.

Last year, 75 cases of non-work injuries to people were recorded. The largest number of incidents were registered in the Shymkent, Aktobe, Zhambyl and Akmola departments of the railways. The main causes of these incidents were violation of the rules for crossing railway tracks, alcohol intoxication, wearing headphones and suicides.
