More than 100 tourists went on a trip on the tourist train "Jibek joly"

Today, the National Carrier launched the tourist train "Jibek joly" from the Almaty station. The train will follow the route "Almaty-Turkestan-Tashkent-Almaty". The tour will last 5 days, from November 16 to 20, 2024. A total of 115 passengers went on the first trip.

"This project was implemented by the National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" on behalf of the Head of State as part of the tourism development strategy jointly with the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, as well as the akimats of Almaty and the Turkestan region. In addition, partners from the company "Uzbek Railways" participated in its implementation, - noted Deputy General Director of JSC "Passenger Transportation" Mukhit Tursynbayev.

Tourists will spend one day in Turkestan and two days in Tashkent, visiting key attractions, picturesque locations and holy places of these cities.

For the convenience of passengers, all excursions are conducted with the participation of professional guides. Travel along the route will be provided by tourist buses.
 

The train includes 5 brand new carriages of Kazakhstani production, previously not used on other routes. The train crew of the tourist train will include a train conductor, eight conductors and an electrician.

The train is decorated on the outside with an image of the national flag, and inside, bed linen in gold tones with national ornaments is used, creating a unique atmosphere. The restaurant car is decorated in a traditional style and offers a menu with dishes of national and European cuisine.

Tickets for the tourist train were available at travel agencies.
