Modern shunting locomotives have expanded the fleet of the National Cargo Carrier

Since the beginning of the year, 18 modern shunting locomotives of the TEM-11A 0015 and TEM-11A 0016 series, assembled at the plant of Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty JSC, have been delivered. The locomotives have expanded the fleet of the Astana, Zhana-Yesil and
Zhezkazgan depots.

The modern equipment is designed for shunting and economic work. The locomotive cabin provides comfortable conditions for the driver and his assistant.

KTZ is systematically updating its rolling stock fleet. In 2023, the largest purchase of locomotives was made - 112 units. By 2029, 359 locomotives will be purchased.

In addition, within the framework of the cooperation agreement between KTZ and the Chinese corporation "CRRC Corporation Limited", 100 shunting and 100 mainline locomotives will also be purchased.
