Million new crop grains shipped in December

The marketing year 2024-2025 shows a steady trend towards increasing grain transportation volumes. Over the 26 days of December, grain loading amounted to 1.1 million tons, which is 52% more than in the same period last year.

Domestic transportation is also showing positive dynamics. This month, 227 thousand tons of grain were transported within the country, which is 18% more than in 2023. Exports increased by 62%, amounting to 862 thousand tons.

The main growth drivers remain transportation to Central Asian countries, Iran, as well as transit transportation through Russia. In particular, deliveries to Azerbaijan and the ports of Russia and the Baltics have increased.

KTZ is taking all necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted export and domestic transportation of grain. For this, there are sufficient reserves of rolling stock and traction stock, which allows us to effectively cope with the increased transportation volumes.
