Middle Corridor becoming more attractive for cargo transportation

On May 30, 2024, a meeting of the Working Group on the Development of the Middle Corridor was held in Shymkent, the focus of which is aimed at discussing issues on attracting cargo flows and improving the efficiency of the proposed service on the route.
During the meeting of the Working Group, Aibek Kapar, Deputy CEO for Logistics of KTZ Express summed up the results of the work carried out by the participants of the transportation process along the Middle Corridor for 4 months of 2024.
"Today, as a result of joint work, stable delivery times and a fixed cost of transportation have been established, which has become the main anchor of the attractiveness of this route. Since the beginning of this year, 73 container trains have been launched in the East-West direction," said A.Kapar.
KTZ Express informs that the delivery time by Middle Corridor from Altynkol station to Absheron (Baku) takes 9 days, from Altynkol to Poti/Batumi is 12 days.
