The management of the transportation process will be automated to the maximum extent possible at Dostyk station

29-10-2024

A large-scale technological "window" for the reconstruction of the track development with the switchover to the modern microprocessor centralization system of switches and traffic lights "MPC-QZ" has been completed at the border station Dostyk. The event was held within the framework of the project "Construction of second tracks on the Dostyk - Moiynty section".

The MPC-QZ system allows for the maximum automation of the management of the transportation process, ensuring traffic safety and the required throughput of railway sections. During the "window", work was carried out to transfer the signaling and communication devices to a new workplace of the duty apparatus, floor devices were installed in the new premises of the EC post and modular buildings. All work was completed ahead of schedule: instead of the planned 120 hours, the "window" lasted 84 hours.

The station has 217 switches, 291 traffic lights, more than 250 track circuits and 59 sections equipped with automatic locomotive signaling, 37 receiving and departure tracks and 12 marshalling tracks.

The MPC-QZ system integrates the functions of automatic blocking, automatic locomotive signaling, railway crossing signaling, and a linear dispatch centralization point. The system has become the first domestic signaling, centralization and blocking system in Kazakhstan, providing a high level of reliability and safety in a strategic direction.

361 specialists are involved in the technological "window", including 86 railway workers in the traffic economy and 275 signaling and communication specialists from all signaling and communication areas of Kazakhstan.
