KTZ specially monitors provision of Kostanay region shippers with wagons

A meeting of KTZ management and the Akimat of Kostanay region was held in Kostanay on issues of organizing cargo transportation by rail. Large shippers of the region participated in the meeting.

The meeting heard the results of cargo transportation by rail for 7 months of this year. The total loading on the region's network amounted to over 15.4 million tons. Domestic transportation increased by 9%, to 8 million tons. 7.3 million tons were exported. From Kostanay region, cargo is sent to China,

Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and Central Asian countries. Asbestos from Zhitikara station is sent by rail to India, coal - through Russia to Europe.

Kostanay region is one of the main regions of the country for loading grain cargo. Since the beginning of the current year, over 1.6 million tons of grain have been loaded in the region. More than 1.2 million tons of cargo have been exported.

Special route trains are being formed for the accelerated delivery of grain. Over the seven months of the current year, 250 organized container train routes have been formed, which allows reducing the time of cargo delivery and increasing the turnover of wagons.

In the last three years, large-scale work has been carried out on the KTZ network to develop export and domestic transportation. Including increasing the capacity of individual sections of the railway, logistics and terminal infrastructure.

The meeting participants discussed issues of improving the quality of cargo transportation organization, developed joint activities that contribute to improving the organization of transportation.
