KTZ reduced diesel fuel consumption by locomotives by 3.3%

In 2023, KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP managed to reduce the specific consumption of diesel fuel by 3.3% compared to 2022 and save 1169 tons.

Positive results were achieved through daily monitoring and ten-day hearings of regional leaders. Technical standards for the service areas of the Zhana-arka, Atyrau, Makat, Balkhash, Matai, Aktogay, Zhem, Yesil, Ayagoz, and Turkestan depots have also been revised.

The use of modern high-performance locomotives allows KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP to reduce its costs for diesel fuel.

Over the past two years, 130 KZ8A series electric locomotives and TЭ33Ac diesel locomotives have been purchased. In addition, new mainline two-section diesel locomotives of the 2TЭ25Км series were delivered.

Work to update the locomotive fleet of KTZ will continue.
