KTZ projects are recognized as the best

On December 20, 2023, a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the 1st National Award in the field of transport and logistics “MAGISTRAL AWARDS” took place in the capital. The winner of the nomination “Best HR initiatives in the transport complex of Kazakhstan” was the Department of Human Resources Management of NC KTZ JSC, headed by Director Saule Istleyeva.

The purpose of the award is to improve the status of the transport and logistics industry in solving national economic and political problems by supporting promising transport initiatives and start-ups.

In the nomination “Best HR initiatives in the transport complex of Kazakhstan” a package of HR projects from JSC NC KTZ is presented: “Progressive bonuses - together to new heights”, “Modular training program “First line” for chief engineers of JSC NC KTZ ", Mobile development school "Bilim Express" and "HR Hackathon".

The progressive bonus project was implemented at NC KTZ JSC in 2022 and is being replicated to this day. In the collaboration between HR and the production unit, tools for motivating employees have been developed: the main decisive positions and indicators that directly affect the increase in cargo turnover and the reduction in transportation costs have been identified.

HR development projects are aimed at developing the professional, personal and business qualities of the company’s employees, and are implemented in a combined format (online/offline/with travel to the regions), with the involvement of external and internal company trainers.

Managers of the Bilim Express and HR Hackathon projects Asel Karmanova and Dinar Karybaeva were also awarded diplomas by the expert community.

Plans for 2024 include the implementation of new HR projects (leadership program, modular development programs for heads of services for the operation of the main network, carriage management, traffic management, trade union leaders).
The competition was held in three stages: Stage I - acceptance of applications for participation, Stage II - evaluation of the work by an expert council, Stage III - award ceremony.

The Aktau International Seaport was also awarded a diploma “For Excellence in Transport Management”. In the category "Creating effective transport solutions" the director of the department of tracks and structures of the Directorate of the main network Arman Bubikanov was awarded for the project "Welding of rail aluminum thermites without the first bolt hole" and the head of the section of the Pavlodar branch of the main network Kuandyk Temirgaliev for the project "Power supply system based on solar panels for rolling stock." Also the winner in the nomination "Loyalty to industry traditions" was the public organization "Kazproftrans".
