NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC creates digital testing grounds for testing, approbation and implementation of the best developments for the railway based on artificial intelligence.
At the International Forum Digital Almaty 2025, IDC Vice President Andrey Beklemishev shared global trends in the artificial intelligence market at the session "Global Coalition on AI: Vector of Partnership and Development". According to IDC, global spending on AI is growing by an average of more than 30% per year, while the GenAI market more than doubled last year. IDC expects that the total global spending on AI technologies will amount to more than US$620 billion by 2028.
Andrey Beklemishev spoke about some examples of the successful use of AI in Kazakhstan, noting the initiative of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to create digital testing grounds.
The testing grounds will become key platforms where IT companies, universities and technology parks will be able not only to develop various components of artificial intelligence, but also to test their solutions in practice, adapting them to the real operating conditions of railway transport. Priority will be given to Kazakhstani developers, which will contribute to the development of domestic technologies and digital independence.
According to the director of the branch of NC KTZ JSC - Directorate of Automation and Digitalization Murat Akhmetov, "within the framework of the tasks set by the Head of State, the opening of digital testing grounds will accelerate the implementation of artificial intelligence in production processes."
- Today, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is actively working on digitalization, the use of advanced technologies that contribute to the safety and efficiency of the country's transport infrastructure, - he noted.
