KTZ network handling volumes increased by 7.3% in January

Compared to the same period in 2024, the handling volume on the KTZ network increased by 7.3% and amounted to 21.7 million tons. Export transportation volumes reached 8 million tons, which is 13.4% more than in January last year. Domestic transportation also showed growth of 4%, amounting to 13.7 million tons.

Coal transportation increased by 5.2% to 9.5 million tons. Solid fuel transportation within the country increased by 2.4%, to 6.7 million tons, and exports increased by 12.7%, to 2.7 million tons.

Grain transportation increased by 35% and amounted to more than 1 million tons. Exports increased by 35%, and domestic transportation - by 33%. The transportation of milled products increased by 13.8%, to 231 thousand tons.

Also in January 2025, there was an increase in the transportation of oil cargo by 4%, to 1.7 million tons, ferrous metals by 10.6%, to 364 thousand tons, chemical fertilizers by 18%, to 445 thousand tons, iron ore and manganese by 7.8%, to 1.6 million tons. The transportation of construction materials also showed an increase of 9.3%, amounting to 777 thousand tons.
