KTZ held an event in honor of the 145th anniversary of the first Kazakh railway engineer

The historical excursion was organized by the KTZ branch - "Main Computing Center" (MCC) and the Central Museum of Railway Transport of KTZ. The event was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Kazakhstan railway and the 145th anniversary of the birth of a representative of the advanced Kazakh intelligence, the first Kazakh railway engineer, one of the prominent representatives of the "Alash" movement, the first Prime Minister of the Turkestan Autonomy Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev.
Veterans of railway transport and young railway workers gathered at the round table. At the meeting, interesting facts from the life of a railway worker were voiced, a historical video was shown, a quiz was held and the most erudite participants were awarded.
Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev is an outstanding statesman, scientist and historian, he was elected as a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Empire of the II convocation, was a member of the Agrarian Commission. He took direct part in the design and construction of the Turkestan-Siberian Railway.
The Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications in Almaty is named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev, monuments have been constructed in his honor, streets have been named. In the Central Museum of Railway Transport KTZ, a separate section is dedicated to the first Kazakh railway engineer, where his documents and personal photographs are collected.
