KTZ has developed a program to improve the efficiency of cargo transportation

The program to improve the efficiency of cargo transportation was discussed in Almaty at a meeting with the participation of heads of branches of road departments, regional transportation control centers, employees of stations of the Almaty hub, and shippers.

More than 50 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses were invited: RZh Brands LLP, NEK Terminal LLP, NSK Trans Logistics LLP - shippers of Aksenger station; JV Coca Cola Almaty Bottlers LLP and others.

The program was developed based on an analysis of train traffic intensity, places of origin and destination of freight flows. Key stations with marshalling operations on the railway network of NC KTZ JSC have been identified, where solutions will be applied to improve the efficiency of organizing freight transportation, including the introduction of interval train technology.

The stations of the Almaty hub were chosen as the initial stage of implementation of the Program. The program includes solutions for optimizing technological processes, accelerating train processing, optimizing the work of crews and organizing the movement of local trains on the sections Zhetygen - Almaty 1 and Almaty 1 - Kazybek-Bek.

It is planned to implement infrastructure projects for the development of the hub, including the construction of a low-power hump and sorting park, as well as the transshipment of containers and the development of solid traffic lines. The measures will increase the capacity and improve the speed of trains on sections of the Almaty 1 - Otar and Zhetygen - Almaty lines.

During the meeting, proposals were heard from business representatives, station workers in the Almaty region and branch directors, issues of effective organization of local work were discussed and ways to solve problems were outlined.

In general, a constructive dialogue between railway workers and business representatives took place on issues of further improving the organization of freight transportation.
