KTZ delivered more coal than normal to the country's thermal power plants

Over 29 million tons of coal were delivered across the country by rail in preparation for the 2024-2025 heating season. Including over 26 million tons transported to the country's thermal power plants, and over 3 million tons for the public utility sector.

The republic's thermal power plants have accumulated coal reserves that exceed the standard indicators, over 5.4 million tons, which is 4% more than last year.

The public utility sector's need for the heating season is 8.2 million tons, and there are over 600 thousand tons of coal on coal dead ends.

A 24-hour headquarters operates to coordinate coal transportation in KTZ.

Meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan are held daily.

The wagon fleet involved in coal transportation is about 20 thousand units. KTZ fulfills all requests from shippers 100%, volumes are transported, there are reserves of empty gondola cars for loading coal for 3-4 days.

The company continues to ensure stable coal delivery for all consumers and calls on coal operators and shippers to more promptly submit requests for transportation, especially in the conditions of the beginning of the autumn-winter period.
