KTZ continues to provide stable coal delivery for all consumers

During the 2024-2025 heating season (from May to November), KTZ delivered 36.8 million tons of coal across Kazakhstan, including more than 32.5 million tons for the country's thermal power plants. More than 4.3 million tons were sent for the public utility sector. About 20 thousand wagons are involved in coal transportation.
All thermal power plants of the republic have accumulated coal reserves that exceed the standard indicators - more than 5.5 million tons, which is 4% more than last year. There are 600 thousand tons of coal in coal storage facilities.
To coordinate coal transportation in KTZ, a 24-hour headquarters operates. Meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan are held daily. KTZ fulfills all requests from shippers 100%, the volumes are transported, there are reserves of empty gondola cars for loading coal for 3-4 days.
The company continues to ensure stable delivery of coal for all consumers and calls on coal operators and shippers to more promptly approach the submission of requests for transportation, especially in the autumn-winter period.
