KTZ appeals to drivers: be vigilant on railway crossings

Railway workers urge vehicle drivers to be especially careful when crossing railway crossings and remind that in all cases the main cause of accidents at crossings is the violation of the Traffic Rules by drivers of motor vehicles. Violations at railway crossings occur when there are prohibiting signals of a properly functioning crossing signaling system. Drivers forget that railway transport has an advantage over other road users.

In order to ensure safety at crossings, KTZ carries out comprehensive preventive work in all regions. In addition to explanatory work, railway workers carry out major repairs of crossings, equipping them with additional modern warning and barrier devices. From 2025, video surveillance systems with automatic data recording will be installed in stages at guarded and unguarded crossings.
