KTZ and the akimat of the Turkestan region signed a memorandum

The management of NC KTZ JSC and the akimat of the Turkestan region discussed issues regarding the construction of the Darbaza – Maktaaral railway line.

The infrastructure project for the construction of the Darbaza – Maktaaral railway line is being implemented on behalf of the Head of State and is aimed at developing the transport potential of Kazakhstan.

In addition, the project will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Turkestan region and stimulate small and medium-sized businesses in the region. During the construction of the railway it is planned to use materials from local producers. 3400 jobs will be created during construction and more than 500 jobs during operation.

It was noted that the project implementation activities are going according to plan. Currently, the designer has completed topographic, hydrological and archaeological work. The necessary procedures are being carried out to reserve land plots for construction and development of quarries for filling the roadbed.

The parties emphasized the importance of timely implementation of all necessary measures for the implementation of the project. Akim of the region Darkhan Satybaldy assured that full assistance will be provided in the implementation of the KTZ infrastructure project in the Turkestan region.

The results of the meeting were secured by the signing of a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between NC KTZ JSC and the Akimat of the Turkestan region.

To date, KTZ is implementing 4 infrastructure projects for the construction of new railway lines with a total length of 1334 km.
