Kostanay railway workers transported over 26.5 million tons of cargo

Over 26.5 million tons of cargo were loaded in 2024 on the network of the Kostanay freight transportation department. During the reporting period, 6,269 heavy-haul and 2,734 long trains were formed, and over 405 thousand cars were loaded. The average daily loading volume was 1.1 thousand cars. The main types of cargo included 11.8 million tons of iron ore, 8 million tons of non-ferrous ore, 2.9 million tons of grain and 1.3 million tons of milled products.

Particular attention was paid to ensuring the safety of the transported goods: in 2024, this figure was 100%, which indicates a high level of reliability and safety of transportation. It was also possible to reduce the number of derailments on access roads by 13 incidents compared to 2023. In general, all key operational indicators of the department were met.
