On September 6, 1300 tons of Kazakhstan’s wheat were sent from Oktyabr station (Taiynshinsky district) to the city of Xi'an (PRC).

The organizer of the new container block train is a joint venture of Kedentransservice JSC (a subsidiary of NC KTZ JSC) and the international dry port of Xi'an - China-Kazakhstan Trade and Logistics Company LLC.

Northern Kazakhstan is a leader in the production of wheat and milling products, as well as the largest exporter of grain in the country. From September 2022 to June 2023, grain exports to China increased 4 times and reached 1.1 million tons.

The active participation of China-Kazakhstan Trade and Logistics Company LLC with the launch of the first container train with grain will give an additional impetus to the expansion of cooperation in the agricultural and trade and transport sectors of the two countries and in the future will allow the use of the capacity of the cargo terminal being built by the joint venture in Xi'an.

The company also plans to expand the geography of shipments to other regions of Kazakhstan and carry out return loading of trains with in-demand imports from China, expanding the range of goods transported.
