The issues of solid fuel transportation were discussed at the forum

The V Forum of the coal industry “Development of the coal chemical industry: technological achievements and prospects” took place in the capital. Representatives of KTZ took part in it. Experts discussed current issues of coal production and export, global trends in the coal market, and the situation with coal supply logistics.

 It was noted at the forum that in the previous heating season (from May 2023 to April 2024), 103 million tons of coal were transported by rail. Of these, 73.5 million tons were shipped throughout the republic, and 29.5 million tons were exported. By the heating season of 2024–2025, the volume of transportation of strategic cargo across the country will remain at the level of the previous season – about 74 million tons.

For high-quality monitoring of the process of ensuring coal transportation, KTZ has developed an interactive system that allows you to track and analyze plans and actual loading of coal, providing effective control over the implementation of daily plans.

Every year, KTZ holds traditional meetings with representatives of government agencies and shippers on organizing coal transportation in the summer. In May, a series of meetings with coal mines have already taken place, at which issues regarding the routing of coal transportation and the uniformity of coal transportation in the summer were discussed.
