Information on the operation of the Dostyk and Altynkol border stations

To increase export and import traffic in the direction of China, KTZ has extended the restriction on the transportation of loaded and empty wagons from the Altynkol station to the Dostyk station, as well as in the opposite direction.

This measure, in effect since last year, is aimed at the efficient use of rolling stock, increasing the capacity of sections and improving the operation of the Dostyk and Altynkol border stations. It also eliminates the oncoming empty run of wagons and containers.

Daily, loaded wagons bound for China arrive at the Dostyk and Altynkol stations. After unloading, they can be used to load imported goods from China.

From March, the restrictions will be extended until the end of 2025.
