On September 21 at 21:40 on the Korgasyn-Shymkent section, the driver of a freight train applied emergency braking in front of a person who suddenly stepped onto the tracks. Despite the measures taken, due to the short distance, it was not possible to prevent the collision.

Fences have been installed on this section to prevent people from stepping onto the railway.

The information has been forwarded to law enforcement agencies. The identity has been established. The man was registered with a psychiatric hospital in Shymkent.

KTZ expresses its condolences to the family of the victim and reminds that it is necessary to cross the tracks in strictly designated places, do not crawl under the cars, and do not cross the tracks in front of a closely moving train, since the train cannot stop instantly.
