Important dates that the railway will celebrate in 2024

The year 2024 takes place under the auspices of the 120th anniversary of the Kazakhstan railway. Significant dates and events will be celebrated within its framework. Among them are the 120th anniversary of the Aktobe operational locomotive depot, 100 years since the launch of the Aulie-Ata (Taraz) - Pishpek (Bishkek) section.

The centennial anniversary will be celebrated by the Zhambyl operational locomotive depot, the Zhanaarka station - the 90th anniversary, the Karaganda branch of the railway and the Balkhash wagon operational depot - the 85th anniversary, the Pavlodar branch of the road and the Ereymentau station - the 70th anniversary, the Mangistau branch of the road - the 60th anniversary.

This year the locomotive industry of the Kostanay branch will be 65 years old; the countdown begins from the day of the opening of train traffic on the Tobol-Kostanay and Tobol-Dzhetygara sections. 55 years ago, the electrification of the Yesil-Kushmurun-Tobol-Zhelezorudnaya sections was completed. 20 years ago, the opening of the electrified section Ekibastuz-1 - Pavlodar took place, and 10 years ago, train traffic started on the sections Zhezkazgan-Beineu and Arkalyk-Shubarkol.

Also this year marks the 70th anniversary of the legendary locomotive-monument installed on the station square of the city of Kostanay. He delivered the first trainload of virgin lands to the region.
