Hydrochloric acid leak elimination drills held at Talas station

Railway workers and units of the Department of Emergency Situations (DES) of the Zhambyl region held drills at Talas station, practicing joint actions to eliminate a hydrochloric acid spill on railway transport.

According to the drill scenario a wagon inspector at the station discovered an emergency depressurization of a railway tank car and a hydrochloric acid spill. The railway worker received a chemical burn. His colleagues provided him with first aid before the ambulance arrived. The train compiler reported the incident to the station duty officer. DES units arrived at the scene.

Based on the results of the drill, the set goals were achieved and fulfilled in full.
