The first tourist train will arrive in Almaty from Xi'an on July 1

The management of NC KTZ JSC and the mayor's office of Xi'an (PRC) held negotiations on the launch of the first tourist train from the PRC to Almaty. The parties agreed to launch the train from Xi'an on June 26, 2024 and organize its arrival in Almaty on July 1. It is planned that the train will have 9 carriages that will carry 246 passengers. The train will pass through the Khorgos-Altynkol border crossing.
