As part of cooperation to develop the export potential of KTZ Express JSC and QazTrade JSC, in partnership with the Pakistani logistics operator National Logistics Corporation (NLC), carried out a pilot multimodal transportation to the port of Jebel Ali (UAE) through Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The transport chain began at the Pavlodar SEZ on April 27 with the loading of products into two 21-ton trucks and shipment to the Zhetygen TLC, where they were reloaded into two 40-foot sea containers. Next, the containers were loaded onto trucks with a container trailer and sent to the Pakistani port of Karachi.

The cargo arrived in Karachi in 20 days, covering 4,900 km. On June 1, the containers were loaded onto a feeder vessel and delivered to the port of Jebel Ali on June 3.

The total transportation period was 38 days, which was the most effective solution for the client. A total of 60 containers are planned to be transported along this route in June-July.

This pilot project is the result of the coordinated work of KTZ Express JSC and partners, and is also a multimodal service that expands the capabilities of Kazakhstan’s exporters to supply products to the target markets of the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia.
