At the border station of Alashankou (PRC), cargo is being unloaded slowly, and therefore a temporary ban on the transportation of grain, vegetable oil and coke has been introduced from November 13 to 18 of this year. At the same time, shippers are exempt from fines for failure to fulfill the transportation plan for the second ten days of November.

The slow unloading is due to the fact that the Alashankou station is undergoing reconstruction of station tracks, and weather conditions have also affected it. From October 31 to November 10, strong winds with gusts of up to 26–28 m/s were recorded at Dostyk and Alashankou stations. Strong winds complicate the operation of unloading terminals.

Employees of Dostyk and Alashankou stations take the necessary measures to minimize natural impacts, ensure safety and timeliness of transportation.
