Dostyk station set a record for the transfer of trains to China in one day

A new record was set at the Dostyk-Alashankou international border crossing: in one day on March 28 this year 21 trains were sent to China. 20 trains on a wide gauge, consisting of 732 cars with a total weight of over 40 thousand tons and one train on a narrow gauge, 50 cars with a total weight of about 1.5 thousand tons. Previously, 16 trains were transported in export traffic every day.

The record was achieved thanks to the joint efforts and work of employees of the Chinese Railway, KTZ Freight Transportation LLP, Dostyk station, as well as specialists from the Almaty Regional Transportation Management Center.

On this day, shunting dispatchers Taskyn Karimov, Yerlan Kazhybekov, station duty officers Yerkebulan Boshayev, Adil Nurmukhanov, station centralization post duty officer Merey Kaniyatov, cargo transfer agents Kuralai Bitanova, Askar Kotanov and Vyacheslav Vasyuk demonstrated high professionalism.
