Development of the infrastructure of the Pavlodar branch of the main network

The Pavlodar branch of the main network continues to actively work on improving the infrastructure of the railways, implementing projects aimed at improving the safety of train traffic, improving the quality of service and introducing modern technologies.

One of the key areas was the overhaul of the track bed using new materials. In total, 31.45 km of tracks were updated. Thus, on the Bozshaol - Ulenty section, 12.05 km of rails were replaced on the odd track. On the Taskudyk - Sputnik section, a major overhaul was carried out with a length of 19.4 km.

In order to increase the durability of the railway tracks, this year, rail supports were also replaced and intensive and medium repairs of the tracks were carried out. The plan for replacing rail supports was 7.9 km. This task was fully completed on the OP-116 - Shiderty section. The intensive and medium track repairs also showed excellent results: instead of the planned 4 km, 6.31 km were completed, including work at the Kalkaman and Ekibastuz-1 stations.

An important element in 2024 was the track infrastructure renewal program aimed at improving traffic safety. As part of this program, 64 sets of turnouts were installed using reinforced concrete beams, which significantly improves the performance characteristics and reliability of the track. Also, on the Ekibastuz - Yereymentau section, the contact network was renewed, including the replacement of 12.65 km of the contact suspension carrier cable, which increased the reliability of the power supply.

One of the most significant achievements of this year was the equipping of the Pavlodar branch with 88 P80 pointer electric drives manufactured by Alstom. These devices are highly reliable and durable, requiring minimal maintenance, and can also operate at high speeds of up to 180 km / h. The service life of the switch electric drives is 20 years, which contributes to a significant improvement in safety on the railways and an increase in the quality of service for passengers and cargo.
