On the eve of New Year and holidays, railway workers involved in transportation have been transferred to an enhanced work schedule. The operational headquarters continues to operate at KTZ to ensure timely delivery of passengers.

The passenger flow does not stop for a minute. The stations are operating as normal. Passenger and commuter trains continue to operate on holidays. For the comfort of passengers, operational measures were taken and 22 thousand seats were added through additional trains and trailer cars.

Over the past 2 days, more than 4 thousand passengers from snow-covered areas were evacuated by additional trains, trailer cars and running trains.
    
Clearing the railway infrastructure of snow is carried out around the clock. From December 29 to 31, more than 25 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the railway tracks, and 7.3 thousand kilometers of tracks were cleared. More than 90 units of specialized snow clearing and snow removal equipment and over 4.6 thousand workers are involved in the work of clearing the railway infrastructure from snow. If necessary, the number of equipment and railway workers will be increased.

On this day, about 2 thousand drivers and their assistants went on the run. To ensure traffic safety in bad weather conditions, locomotive crews are especially vigilant.

To create a festive mood, the carriages were decorated in a New Year's theme. And the little passengers are congratulated and treated to sweets by the main characters of the New Year - Father Frost and Snow Maiden.

KTZ congratulates the people of Kazakhstan on the upcoming New Year and asks passengers to be careful at stations and platforms, and drivers to follow traffic rules at railway crossings.
