Container transit from China via TITR has increased 14-fold
13-08-2024
Since the beginning of the year, the volume of container transportation from China via TITR has increased 14-fold compared to the same period last year.
To develop a multimodal transport corridor connecting China and Europe/Turkey, NC KTZ JSC and JSC KTZ Express, together with other participants in the route, are working to increase transportation volumes, improve service and speed of cargo delivery.
To date, delivery times from Altynkol station to Absheron (Baku) have been reduced to 9 days, to Poti/Batumi (Georgia) to 12 days, and to 20–22 days via Poti/Batumi to Constanta (Romania).
In 2023, KTZ, together with the railway administrations of Azerbaijan and Georgia, created the Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd. Joint Venture. The coordination operator will strengthen the work on developing multimodal service on the route with the provision of a service on a single window basis and guaranteed delivery time and cost.
KTZ is also actively developing port and port infrastructure in the Caspian Sea with the involvement of large international logistics companies.
