NC KTZ JSC is working on the construction of second tracks to expand the Dostyk-Moiynty railway section.

To lay the second line, 836 km long, more than 7 million cubic meters of roadbed will have to be poured. Currently, work has been carried out on 633 km. 514 units of equipment were used to construct the roadbed. There are 21 contractors working at the sites, over 1000 people.

Once the earthen base is ready, a second track will be laid on the stretches. Today, the laying of the upper track structure is carried out on the sections Moiynty - Buyrek, Buyrek - Sarykum, Sarykum - Kokdombak, Akzhaidak - Ashchyozek, Sayak-rzd.1, Kokdombak - Balkhash1. The rail and sleeper grid was installed at 161.7 km.

 

A large amount of work is being carried out on the reconstruction of overhead lines, signaling and communication equipment.

It is planned to complete the construction of the second tracks on the Dostyk-Moiynty section in 2025. This is a major infrastructure project that will ensure uninterrupted export of products and will significantly affect the development of the country’s transit potential.
