Cargo transshipment through the port of Aktau increased by 14% in the first quarter of this year

The total volume of cargo transshipment in the first quarter of 2024 through the Aktau seaport amounted to over 1.1 million tons, which is 14% higher than the same period in 2023. The port provided transshipment of 24 thousand tons of grain, more than 920 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products.

The seaport handled over 7.4 thousand twenty-foot equivalent containers (TEU), which is 33% more than in the first quarter of last year. Including over 6.4 thousand TEUs along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). This figure increased by 85% compared to last year.
