The 3rd Republican training seminar “Functioning of automated control systems and information systems related to the technological process of stations, operational carriage and locomotive depots” was completed at KTZ. Its goal is to increase the practical and theoretical knowledge of employees on IT systems used on the railway. The organizer of the seminar is the department of technological systems of the transportation process of KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP.
The republican seminar was attended by technologists from six branches of KTZ – Freight Transportation LLP, who became the best in regional training seminars to improve the level of knowledge of the functionality and tools of digital systems.
The event was held in a competitive format. The best team was determined by a point system and based on the results of such games as “Understand Me”, “Own Game”, “Rebus”, “I-Soile”, “Deaf Telephone”, “Chronological Chain”, “Quest”, “Pirates’ Gold” " The competition “Homework on creating a mission and slogan” was the most interesting. “We can do a lot” - this slogan was called the best.
Based on the results of the training, two teams scored the same points, so the first prize was shared by: “Caspian Leaders” of the Mangistau branch and the “Sinegorye” team of the Akmola branch. Second place was awarded to the “CYBER – Rail” team of the Shymkent branch, third place to the “Saryarka” team of the Karaganda branch. The challenge symbol of the seminar was presented to the team of the Akmola branch.
Deputy General Director for Corporate Affairs of KTZ – Freight Transportation LLP Vladimir Babichenko, awarding the winners, noted that digitalization of the industry makes it possible for all participants in the transportation process to work comfortably together. “Digital” allows you to simplify the process of registering freight transportation as much as possible.
Director of the Department of Technological Systems for the Transportation Process Irina Savushkina spoke about the ongoing work to implement information systems in freight traffic. Among the anchor projects is the introduction of an automated train schedule. If previously train schedules were drawn up literally manually, now this is done by an automated system. This allows you to significantly save time for dispatchers and station workers. In pilot mode, the project is being tested in the Karaganda, Akmola, and Pavlodar branches. Then it will be replicated in other regions of the country.
Another important project is undergoing trial operation at the Aktobe Freight Transportation Department, which makes it possible to determine the arrival and departure of trains through microprocessor-based dispatch centralization (MDC). The project is being implemented jointly with the Main Computer Center (KTZ Main Computer Center).
KTZ plans to introduce the “Dynamic Infrastructure Loading Model” system, aimed at increasing the efficiency of transportation and planning transportation taking into account the real capabilities of the infrastructure.
The seminar was held with the support of experts from the system projects department of KTZ, Main Computer Center, Transtelecom JSC and the department of human resource management and social policy of KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP.
