The Baltic countries discussed the issues of increasing freight transportation through Middle Corridor

From May 14 to 18, 2024, KTZ Express JSC took part in the business trip of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Karabayev to the Baltic countries (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania).
The delegation held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Transport of Latvia K. Briskens, familiarized with the activities of the Freeport of Riga, as well as with the ongoing work on the construction of the facility "Rail Baltica".
Also, a Business-Forum on transport cooperation was held in Riga, during which the Deputy CEO for Commerce of KTZ Express JSC Mr. Ulugbek Orazov familiarized the audience with the current transport and logistics capabilities of KTZ Express JSC within the framework of Middle Corridor with the use of infrastructure capacities of the Baltic countries.
During a further working trip to Estonia, a business meeting was held with Estonian Climate Minister K.Michal, familiarization with the production activities of Estonia's largest commercial seaport Muuga and the shipbuilding company BLRT.
Within the framework of the business visit to Lithuania, a meeting was held with the Minister of Transport of Lithuania M.Skuodis, as well as the delegation familiarized with the progress of pilot training of "Avia Solution Group" and the production activities of one of the largest logistics companies in Europe - Girteka.
The negotiations held within the framework of the working visit to the Baltic countries will make it possible to increase the throughput capacity of the Middle Corridor by strengthening cooperation and potential participation of investors from the Baltic countries in the joint implementation of infrastructure projects along the Middle Corridor.
