On November 13, 2023, a cargo train of Kazakhstani cargo weighing 3700 tons was transferred through the Dostyk border crossing to the Alashankou station (PRC). Thus, the Plan for the transfer of export cargo to China for 2023, agreed upon at a meeting of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD), was completed ahead of schedule. Since the beginning of the year, over 10 million export cargoes have been transferred to the PRC through the Dostyk station. Grain, coal, ore, oils, pellets, concentrate, copper, potassium, coke, zinc, ferrochrome, ferroalloy and more were exported.

Thanks to the joint efforts and well-coordinated work of the railway workers of the two countries, for the first time in the 30-year history of the Dostyk station, the strategic targets for the transfer of export cargo to the PRC were achieved at the beginning of the second ten days of November.
