Akmola branch is ready to transport new crop grain

Over 2 million tons of grain were transported by railway workers of the Akmola freight transportation branch in 7 months of 2024. Of these, more than 340 thousand tons were transported within the country, which is 14% higher than the same period in 2023. 1.7 million tons were sent for export. Over 250 thousand tons of milled products were loaded during the period January - July. Growth compared to last year is 29%.

Traditionally, grain and milled products are sent from the region in covered wagons and grain carriers to the countries of Central Asia, Iran, Afghanistan, China and Russia, in containers - to Vietnam, China, Turkey, Italy and other countries.

To increase the speed of movement of grain cargo, shuttle trains are formed. This year, more than 380 grain routes have been sent from the Akmola region.

As noted by railway workers, with effective and rational operation of the park, the new harvest will be transported, there will be no shortage of rolling stock.

To organize the transportation of grain of the new harvest in the regions and at the central level of KTZ, the work of grain headquarters and groups has been intensified. All emerging issues are resolved promptly.

Every week, the headquarters initiates meetings with the participation of representatives of interested government agencies, grain traders and large shippers.
