Akmola branch continues to upgrade infrastructure and introduce innovations

Akmola branch continues to actively invest in the development and modernization of its infrastructure, which helps improve the quality of service and safety on the main network. This year, a set of works was completed to update key facilities, including traction transformers at the Kokshetau, Yeltai and Ugolki substations.

In addition, the contact network was updated and a major overhaul of the track facilities was carried out. This year, 110.4 km of tracks were repaired using modern materials, and medium repairs were carried out on 12 km of track bed. These activities are aimed at increasing the reliability of the railway infrastructure and ensuring the safety of train traffic.

An important part of the branch's work is improving working conditions and creating comfortable conditions for employees. This year, repairs to 12 industrial buildings were completed, and work began on the repair and construction of new facilities, including EC posts and residential modules for workers.

2024 was the year of introducing new transportation management technologies. A microprocessor centralized dispatch system was introduced on the Kokshetau-Astana section, which significantly improved the efficiency and safety of train traffic control. The modernization of dispatch circles on the Kokshetau-Petropavlovsk and other sections continues.
