Akimat of Abay region and KTZ management discussed implementation of children's railway in Semey

During the working visit of KTZ management to the regions, a meeting was held in Semey with Akim of Abay region Nurlan Urankhayev. The issues of revival of children's railway, which was closed in 1995, were discussed.

To date, construction of children's railway is in the final stage. The rolling stock, which consists of cars and a diesel locomotive manufactured in Udmurtia at the Kambarsky Machine-Building Plant, has already been launched in test mode. All designs are made taking into account modern safety and comfort requirements.

KTZ management expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive support in the process of operation of children's railway, as well as in training the necessary personnel.

Moreover, the possibility of creating a special children's club, where schoolchildren will be able to study the basics of the railway profession, is being discussed. Such a club will be an excellent platform for future specialists. The main goal is to develop interest in railways among young people and provide basic professional skills.
