About 3 thousand record trains were sent from Ekibastuz-2 station

Over the first seven months of this year, 97 heavy trains weighing 9 thousand tons were sent from Ekibastuz-2 station. In 2023, there were 407 such trains. The main cargo was coal. Heavy trains were delivered to Presnogorkovskaya station on the border with Russia.

More than 2.6 thousand long trains, consisting of more than 70 conventional cars, were also formed and sent from Ekibastuz-2 station. Last year, more than 2.9 thousand long trains were sent. The cargo in such trains was delivered to the capital.

Record trains are formed to increase the throughput and carrying capacity of sections and the efficient use of traction rolling stock and locomotive crews.
