About 21 thousand people were transported by KTZ trains during floods

KTZ continues to help residents of flooded regions. 12 thousand people were transported free of charge by passenger trains along the Atyrau-Kulsary-Atyrau and Kulsary-Mangistau routes. More than 2 thousand more passengers were transported in additional carriages along the Atyrau-Mangystau, Atyrau-Almaty and Atyrau-Astana routes. Additional trains run on the routes Uralsk - Kyzylorda, Atyrau-Karagandy, Almaty - Atyrau, which made it possible to transport more than 2 thousand passengers. The transportation of 500 children from flood-affected areas to health centers and children's camps was organized.

KTZ works in close cooperation with regional akimats, ministries of defense and emergency situations. KTZ trains transported 4 thousand rescuers and military personnel to participate in emergency rescue operations.

To eliminate the consequences, railway workers provide cars for transporting heavy equipment. Over 400 special vehicles were delivered to the cities of Atyrau, Aktobe and Uralsk. To deliver humanitarian aid to flooded areas, wagons on trains have been allocated.

Transportation of special equipment and humanitarian aid is under special control.

KTZ youth formed a volunteer movement to provide assistance to victims and collect humanitarian aid.

The flood situation remains under constant monitoring by railway workers. KTZ has an operational headquarters whose task is to monitor and immediately respond to emergency situations.

All forces and means of the railway are on high alert. Thanks to timely flood control measures, the railway infrastructure was not damaged, trains move along
graphics. 45 anti-scour trains have been formed on the main line, and 47 firefighting trains are on duty around the clock.
